After more than two years since his last visit, James Slade, Wildlife Crime Prevention Officer at Re:wild was able to set foot again in the Philippines. His mission: assess the needs and gaps of the TCP and PAMO office and especially the rangers on duty as an initial insight of a more comprehensive work plan of activities to support Mindoro wide protection efforts that DAF and its partners are launching.
Mike Appleton, Director of Protected Area Management at Re:Wild made the trip as well to assist us in preparing this ambitious agenda with meetings with PASu Hector, TCP coordinator Neil and DENR MIMAROPA Regional Director.
Concrete activities shall start next month.
