The proposed masterplan for creating a fully equipped station at Carindan location, at the foothill of the Amnay tamaraw landscape, was presented to TCP last April 30. It was followed with the second visit on-site by Bert Peeters, our partner from the Philippine Permaculture Association, where phases of development and construction were discussed with representatives from TCP, PENRO Mamburao, Menro Sta Cruz and DAF team.

Completion of the ranger's house will give way for the other components including a multi purpose community center, an Alangan house, permaculture gardens, camping sites and awareness materials for a wider public.

This infrastructure plan aims to create a hub in order to coordinate protection actions in the Inner Mindoro tamaraw landscape and be a center for trainings and capacitation of rangers and Alangan, but also to become a place for the Mindorenos to learn about Mindoro's nature and culture.

This activity was supported by SEGRE Foundation, ZGAP and the UKAID DARWIN Initiative
