Carleton College Student Engages in Volunteer Learning at D’ABOVILLE Foundation and Demo Farm Inc.

Mr. Benedict Le, an undergraduate biology student from Carleton College, Northfield, Minnesota  USA, visited the D’ABOVILLE Foundation and Demo Farm Inc. (DAF) from July 2-4, 2026 to do short-term volunteering and to learn about the foundation’s work in tamaraw conservation. Carleton College is a liberal arts college that encourages its students to engage with a diversity of ideas and ways of learning in whatever ways that fits them best. He received funding from the college to travel across Southeast Asia to connect with wildlife conservation professionals and gain a deeper understanding of conservation initiatives in the region. 

During his short visit, Benedict assisted in collating research field data for the Thriving Together with Tamaraw Project, participated in workshops, and engaged program staff in discussions on the foundation’s  activities in  conservation and  with indigenous peoples. He also participated in a birdwatching activity, reflecting his strong interest in wildlife. 

DAF is always happy and eager to exchange and share experience, especially to the young motivated generation.
