The Pinagkausahan Hanunuo sa Daga Ginurang (PHADAG) or the council of elders of the Hanunuo Mangyan indigenous group of Mindoro signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the D’Aboville Foundation and Demo Farm, Inc. allowing the latter to conduct its programs and activities with their community.
After years of engagement with the Hanunuo, it was only this year that the partnership was formalized. Before the finalization of the MOA was a series of meetings and visitations to the community elders.
This MOA signifies the full trust and confidence of the Hanunuo Indigenous People to DAF, knowing that the latter will respect their culture, sacred rules and rituals.
