John Carlo Santos, one of DAF junior officers, was invited, together with other youths in Southeast Asia, to the Youth Regional Symposium that was held in Singapore in celebration of World Wildlife Day this year. With this year’s WWD theme “Connecting People and Planet: Exploring Digital Innovation in Wildlife Conservation”, Carlo had an opportunity to learn different digital tools being implemented in other SEA countries in promoting wildlife conservation and protection. He also attended workshops on illegal wildlife trade and other youth-led projects in the region.
