Pauline Maglipon, a Master student of the University of Santo Tomas/ICOLABB made the journey up to Mounts Iglit-Baco Natural Park to grasp the field reality of her research thesis.
Pauline is currently analysing the data collected by DAF in the past three years in the frame of her major and research topic on fire ecology.
Her thesis will help to better understand how burning affects vegetation succession and feed the elaboration of a habitat restoration plan in the tamaraw core zone of presence.
DAF team is delighted to supervise Master students and provide opportunities for young Filipino researchers to build skills and experience.
