Olivia d'Aboville

Olivia is a renowned French-Filipino artist in both Paris and the Philippines. She graduated with honors from a prominent design school in Paris, Duperré. She is the head curator for the Malasimbo Festival, choosing the best local and international visual artists. She also exhibits her one-of-a-kind artwork during the festival that definitely drew the attention of the media through the years. She uses plastic bottles and spoons for her work and loves playing around with lights. She admits to have the Philippine Sea as her inspiration and theme for her personal work.
Aside from the festival, Olivia’s primary involvement is with the Mangyan. Growing up in Puerto Galera gained her friends from the tribe and this is where her passion to help them started. Now she actively helps in giving them a better life through the foundation’s programs.
