Permaculture Implementing Officer

FRANSLY was born on November 27, 1993 in Canabang, Paclolo, municipality of Magsaysay, Occidental Mindoro. She belongs to the Hanunuo ethno-linguistic group residing in Magsaysay. She did her secondary education at Mangyan Center Divine Mercy school in San Jose, as a scholar of the Catholic Missionaries International. She obtained her college degree in Agroforestry from the Occidental Mindoro State College Murtha Campus.

Her professional experience includes being spokesperson of the Mangyan youth under the “Yamang Gubat” (Forest Wealth) program of PLAN, Environment National Greening Program Officer at the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office of the municipality of San Jose or field technician for a private company that produces chemicals for agricultural purposes.

At the foundation, she is one of the two permaculture implementing officers in establishing the permaculture based system for food production and habitat restoration at Mts Iglit-Baco Natural Park. She co-leads the implementation of the design and coordinates the field activities in cooperation with park rangers and residing Taobuid community members. She enjoys planting, monitoring the plants and overseeing the construction of the different organic and regenerative structures of the design. Her social ability is a great asset in building positive and constructive relations with rangers and Taobuid people.
