DIEGO AGMAN
Field Technical Officer / Community Research Assistant

DIEGO was born on November 9, 1997 in Poypoy, Calintaan, Occidental Mindoro. He belongs to the Taobuid ethno-linguistic group. He reached third year of high school education at the Poypoy National High School.  He is currently pursuing an Alternative Learning School (ALS) education during his free time to complete his high school education.

His first job was as park attendant for the Mounts Iglit-Baco Natural Park Protected Area Management Office (PAMO), where he regularly joined rangers in patrols and in maintaining the facilities in the park. His father is one of the Taobuid rangers at the PAMO.

At the foundation, he works as research assistant helping the program staff in reaching out to the Taobuid communities residing near the park’s Station 2, acting as translator and collecting data on the practices and traditional resource management system of the Taobuid in the area. He also gives a precious hand to the permaculture system being established at Station 2 and the Landing area in the park. Diego enjoys learning new technology and techniques, being now able to use and operate GPS devices, getting computer system in hand progressively as well as being in charge of construction with wood and bamboo.
