CLEO ENGELINE HECHANOVA
Permaculture Implementing Officer

CLEO was born on December 11, 1998 in Biñan, Laguna. She did her elementary and high school education in the same province. She got her college degree in Agroforestry at Occidental Mindoro State College Murtha Campus in 2019.

Before joining the DAF team, she accumulated several professional experiences in Mindoro and Manila, being successively Forest Extension Officer, Technical Support Agent in a private company, and Field Technician for the Department of Agriculture, where she helped farmers avail of services (loans and farm inputs) provided by the government, conducted weekly farm visitation, and gave agriculture-related advice.

At the foundation, she is one of the two permaculture implementing officers in establishing the permaculture based system for food production and habitat restoration at Mts Iglit-Baco Natural Park. She co-leads the implementation of the design and coordinates the field activities in cooperation with park rangers and residing Taobuid community members. She is fond of learning new things especially related to computer applications such as Excel, Google Earth and QGIS. Her very well organized mind and work ability are precious in properly conducting the program’s activities when up in the mountain.
